For gaffers, best boys & sparks

Build the lighting load list before you load the truck.

Kitr is the kit-list builder for film & TV lighting crews. Spec gear day-by-day, location-by-location — then get an honest list of what to actually rent. Cross-platform, installable, works offline on set.

The old way

Spreadsheets that lie to the rental house.

  • Tally the same fixture across five days and you double-order it.
  • Consumables get guessed, then run out at hour fourteen.
  • The list lives on a laptop you left in the cube truck.
With Kitr

One honest number per piece of gear.

  • Reusable gear rolls up by peak simultaneous need — not the sum of every day.
  • Consumables are summed across the whole shoot, automatically.
  • Installable PWA — it's on your phone, on set, offline.
What's in the kit

Everything a lighting list needs. Nothing a spreadsheet pretends to do.

01Catalog

An encyclopedia that speaks set slang

Our own catalog is built from manufacturer datasheets, then indexed by the names you actually shout on set. Search “skypanel”, “600d”, or “c-stand” and the right fixture is there — specs, draw, weight and all.

02Structure

Project → Day → Location

Lighting plans aren’t one list — they’re a different rig every day and every location. Kitr mirrors the call sheet, so allocation windows are real and overlap is computed, not eyeballed.

03Builder

Swipe to spec

Tap or swipe from the catalog to add gear — +1, −1, done. Building a day’s rig feels like flipping through a deck, not filling a spreadsheet. Metric or imperial, your toggle.

04Load list

Peak need, then PDF

Kitr separates reusable gear (rolled up by peak simultaneous use) from consumables (summed). The result is a load list you can hand to the rental house — print or export to PDF in one tap.

05Offline

Works where the signal doesn’t

Installable as a PWA on iOS and Android. It opens like an app, runs cross-platform, and keeps working in a basement location with no bars.

How it works

Three steps from call sheet to rental order.

  1. 01

    Block out the shoot

Create the project, drop in your days and locations. Kitr lays them out like a call sheet.

  2. 02

    Swipe in the gear

Search by nickname and tap to add fixtures, grip and consumables to each day and location.

  3. 03

    Pull the load list

Peak-need rollup and consumable totals compute themselves. Print or export the PDF and send it.
